THEN SOMETHING INTERRUPTED ME FROM MY VOYAGE AND REMOVED ME FROM MY DAYDREAM (2019)

-with Louisa Chambers

Then something interrupted me from my voyage and removed me from my day dream (2019) is a collaborative project with Louisa Chambers (Primary, Nottingham) as part of Expanded Studio Project 2019 (PS2, Belfast and Primary, Nottingham). The project saw two artists draw on similarities between the two cities as well as from methodologies to combat restlessness from studio working.

Benefiting from the hypnotic imagery of the water, and especially the romanticism of ‘the voyage’ the collaboration facilitated a row along the Lagan whilst HIVE choir sang arrangements of Searchin’ (1957) by The Coasters.

Sailing outfits were made from digitally printed linen designed by Louisa Chambers.made by Thomas Wells
